Lets explore the Alaska Inside Passage Cruise
We departed from Seattle, but generally the cruise ships depart from Vancouver, Columbia at the route's southern end. Alaska's easygoing capital city, Juneau, is at its north end and this was also our first stop. These huge floating palaces cruise the panhandle's calm crystal waters of the Pacific ocean, dramatic fjords and visiting small ports like Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, etc. I loved Sitka, known as the 'Paris of the Pacific', and bought myself a little Matruschka doll (a Russian doll) with a beautiful little bell inside. 
The far northern end of the Inside Passage is capped off by the beautiful Glacier Bay National Park, a branching 65 mile fjord that's home to a dozen glaciers and abundant wildlife.What I found fascinating , is that there are no roads between any of the little towns in Alaska - the only way one can reach any of these towns is by boat or aeroplane ......
