You must sleep in one of the San Miguel de Allende hotels when you visit this wonderful place

We arrived too late for any sightseeing, so we decided to look for one of the San Miguel de Allende hotels right away. We slept close to the centre of the town and took a taxi to a cosy little steak house in the centre. We were hungry and tired and the steak, together with a glass of good red wine, tasted wonderful !!!The next morning early, before 7 o’ clock, we started walking the streets of the old part (the centro) of and loved every minute. We criss crossed the little streets up and up the hill past more San Miguel de Allende hotels until we stopped for a coffee and cappuchino (my favourite drink) while we saw the little town awake in front of our eyes. It started to get busier, but still, San Miguel de Allende has its own peace. There is no hustle and bustle here – the higher you walk on the hill, the more quiet it becomes. We got lost!!! Eventually we went back for a breakfast at our hotel, the
Hotel Real de Minas
. My husband then spent a few hours on the internet, catching up with business , while I went back into the street of St Miguel to visit all the quaint little shops that we passed earlier on. These are the shops where they make all the hand embroidered shirts. Some of these old shops with their stone floors and walls were so special , it feels as if the little shop is experience enough! You don’t have to buy anything!! This is where you can feel the heart of the people Mexico. Very little English is spoken, so it became a experience of broken English and Spanish between me and the people of this little town.
